Design Proposal

 

You now have a clearer view of the road that you intend to travel, and you’d like us to accompany you along it: thank you! We will prepare a detailed written Proposal to do this, with the sequential stages of work explained and a proposed Fee set against each. The Design Proposal allows you to opt out of our services at any point along that road without penalty, should your needs or circumstances change. We will arrange for you to receive a free copy of the RIBA’s Guide to Engaging an Architect, which describes in detail the high standard of service that you should expect of us. Once we have received your acceptance of our Proposal it’ll be time for us to spring into action, doing the thing that we do best of all...

 

As Architects we sell design expertise, but the currency is time. Our Design Proposal will be based on a careful assessment of the likely hours needed for each stage of your particular project, informed by the understanding that we have developed in working with you to produce the Road Map. We will set upward limits on fees for each stage but will only charge you for the actual hours expended. Our invoices will be accompanied by detailed time trackers of these hours.
